A small space
with quiet intent.
The 6th Bite is a neighbourhood eatery built around comfort, balance and simplicity — Japanese cooking with a few Korean favourites woven in.
Six bites, then you're home.
The name comes from a small ritual — by the sixth bite, a meal stops being food and starts being something quieter. A pause in a busy day. A reminder of home.
We started in 2023 with a simple idea: serve the kind of food we'd want to eat after a long week. Warm bowls, honest ingredients, no fuss. Everything made fresh, every day.

Minimal, warm,
made for lingering.
A wooden counter, soft pendant lights, herringbone floor. We kept the room simple so the food and the people in it could do the talking.
The walls hold a small rotating collection of original prints — daruma, koi, a friendly neko. Quiet company.

What We Believe
Honest ingredients
Local where we can, imported where it matters. Short-grain rice from Niigata. Daikon from down the road.
Made fresh daily
Curry simmered each morning. Gyoza folded by hand. Pickles fermented in-house.
A calm pace
We don't rush. Stay as long as you like. Bring a book. We'll bring tea.
